Asymptotic Games is a small PC video game development company located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company was dreamt up in July 2014 by two computer science graduates with a desire to create video games. The two of us have been working full-time in various types of software development over the past several years and have acquired a widespread set of skills.
With both of us working full-time jobs, Asymptotic Games has been a part-time labor of love. Because of this, we plan on designing, developing, and releasing small but complex games with a heavy focus on solid gameplay mechanics.
We decided to move forward with work on Cavern Crumblers in January 2016 after prototyping a couple of game ideas. Inspired by games like Super Meat Boy and TowerFall: Ascension, Cavern Crumblers is a simple idea with strong core gameplay mechanics and design.
Our goal for the future of Cavern Crumblers is to continue working on the game after initial release, improving the heart of the gameplay and adding new features that highlight the core mechanics.
Our mission is to produce games that challenge the player while offering rewarding gameplay experiences.
